About Me.

Deciding to start therapy is a big step and it is important to feel safe and in good hands. Understanding this need from a personal stand point, I chose to undergo years of rigorous training at accredited institutes, and have spent over ten years in clinical, charity and educational settings practicing as a therapist. I offer online and telephone counselling and psychotherapy for children, teenagers and adults. I offer parent-work, a reflective space focused on the parent-child relationship. I also provide clinical supervision for other therapists and, professionals working in a range of sectors.

The therapeutic alliance is central to the activation of change in individuals. We will work together to create a safe environment and an approach that meets your needs, focusing on what you want to gain from therapy. My skills are integrative, and a psychodynamic framework informs my thinking. I am also trained in the facilitation of the arts in therapy and, KIT (Knowledge Insight Tools) from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Young people, children and adults who find non-verbal communication helpful, are welcome to use the arts and play alongside taking therapy.

Before opening this practice, a large portion of my work took place in schools, including managing several school based therapy services, and providing supervision to trained and trainee therapists. For a long time I worked in a specialist NHS service, supporting survivors of acute and historic sexual abuse. As a result, my work is trauma informed and I specialise in several clinical areas including sexual violence.
